Pontcanna - Serviced Accommodation project
The aim of this project was to transform this vanilla flat into a stand-out serviced accommodation to attract long term guests in a highly competitive market. The client wanted a bright boutique arty design that captivated the artisan area though paint, wall dressings, lighting and soft furnishings whilst keeping most of the furniture. We paid special attention to the study area, creating an area to inspire production as well as being a fun place to work. The flat already had a Scandinavian feel to it but we wanted to freshen it up and inject vibrancy and colour into the design. We carefully selected a palette that was unique to the other short term lets in the area and chose a vibrant minted green and a muted rose for its subtle and soft warmth, complemented with black and white accents. To achieve this stylish boutique look and feel we selected a cool mint green wallpaper featuring soaring cranes which is a symbol of luck and longevity. We then framed some of this wall paper and used it as artwork in the bedroom saving us from purchasing new artwork. This flat was rented for £800 pcm but after be newly designed and decorated it now rents out for £1,800pcm
